Lawyers, also called attorneys, act as both advocates in criminal & civil cases & as advisors in business & personal matters. Research the intent of laws & judicial decisions & apply the law to the specific circumstances faced by their clients.
Environmental Lobbyist
Serve as government relations professionals attempting to influence legislators in favor of their clients’ special interests. Requires in-depth knowledge of legislative & political processes plus regulations & ethics that shape lobbying requirements.
Land Use Attorney
Represent clients in legal disputes over property usage - often the rights of natural wilderness vs. the rights of a property developer. Often involves zoning restrictions.
