- Surveyers, Cartographers, and Mapping Technicians
- Surveyors, cartographers, and photogrammetrists are responsible for measuring and mapping the Earth’s surface. Surveyors establish official land, airspace, and water boundaries. They write descriptions of land for deeds, leases, and other legal document
- Brownfield Redevelopment Specialist
- Provide assessments on the clean-up and re-use of brownfield sites, consult on cost-effective scenarios, & prepare plans.
- Planner
- Review development plans & issue permits, write rules for development, & submit permits for development. Recommend programs for development & use of resources, propose construction of schools, roads, etc. Requires strong communication & conflict res skill
- Geographic Information Systems Specialist
- Gather, develop & manage data on land use, climate, demographics, transportation systems, & other environmental infformation using GIS siftware. Create reports & present information to end users. Ability to use GIS is also important in many occupations.
