Anne Hathaway Greenblatt, MA in Career Development

Nationally Certified Counselor and Master Career Development Professional

Anne is a Career Consultant and Coach with 21 years of career counseling and training experience  with college students and adults in career transition.  She  founded Green Career Transitions to contribute her in-depth experience as a career counselor and coach, knowledge of emerging green career opportunities and environmental issues,  and passion for developing a more sustainable world for the generations to come.

She served as the Lead Career Counselor at  Sonoma State University for  6 years, and as the Public Service Career Counselor at Stanford University for 14 years, where she worked with students and alumni from freshman to PhD level, and wrote many handouts on career development. She also co-authored a chapter entitled "Environmental and Renewable Energy Fields," in "Great Careers, the Fourth of July Guide to Careers, Internships, and Volunteer Opportunities in the Nonprofit Sector."

At Sonoma State, in addition to providing career counseling and academic advising for students, she oversaw an annual career fair, worked with a team to develop a new on-line career management system, taught classes in career development, college survival skills, and academic advising, and served on a faculty committee developing and teaching in a new First Year Experience Program.  She has also worked as a Trainer and Consultant for Sonoma County Job Link, and in private practice Sonoma County and in Palo Alto.  In her earlier career, she completed an MA in Biology at Stanford, and worked as a  Naturalist for the City of Palo Alto for 7 years, and Co-Founder/ Director for Nature Explorations,  a successful nonprofit organization conducting wilderness trips for adults and families. Subsequently, she became Assistant Director for Retired Executive Volunteers, offering management consulting for nonprofits.

Anne works with people seeking to assess their strengths, research career opportunities, and make a successful transition to a more satisfying career aligned with their values. She has developed a widely-used Values Driven Work inventory, and is certified to use the Myers-Briggs Personality Indicator, Strong  Interest Inventory, Campbell Interest Inventory, Firo-B, SkillScan, and other assessment tools. She also values the use of creative expression in clarifying one's vision and direction. Using the skills and knowlege you already have, Anne can help guide you into a new career.
